Im thirteen do you think im too young to wear makeup? if not how can i convince my mom to let me use it?

my mom wont let me wear makeup because she thinks im too young when i question her all she says is that im still way too young i tell her everyone i know wears it and she says that theyre moms are crazy i know she doesnt care about the cost its just that shes stuck in the past and wonnt change her opion but i really want to wear the makeup its not a lot just maybe like eyeliner and mascara i really want to use it though but i dont know what to do HELP!!!

well there are soo many girls who do wear makeup at the age of 13. for starters just wear a little loose powdered make up and mascara. you could even use clear mascara. it would be perfect.

just wear some as subtle as you can-maybe just as you said a little mascara and eyeliner and she shouldn't mind as much.

and you're not too young as long as you keep it to a minimum!

No way!! You should definitely start wearing make up at your age, but just don't over do it. Try with a brownish mascara, just a little, and light eyeshadow, kind of beach sand color, depending on your skin tone, and top it off with some light or clear lip gloss.

I would not start wearing eyeliner yet, mascara will be perfect!!

ask her if for small things first, like lip gloss or shimmer eye shadow. ask if she will be willing to set some rules on, how, where, when you can wear make up. dont argue with her.. this will just make her more content with the NO answer! try to see if you cant comprimise with her! let her know that being 13 meas your gonna get pimpile! you wanna be able to hide them.. ask if she can show you how? what to use, how to apply it! im sure she will come around soon enuf! good luck chick!!!

(even if you really dont want her to, just do it.)

Or.

put some mascara on and lipgloss, and walk past her and see what she says. if she yells at you; or asks what you have on, or what ever, say "i wanted to show you how beautiful i look with it!"

I am 13 too and a lot of people at my school wear make-up! My mom believes that when i want to wear make-up i can but doesnt tell me i cant. I would suggest asking her when she first started to wear make-up or when she thinks that you could. If that doesn't work i would try to talk to her about why you want to wear it and what kind of make-up you would want to wear.
