Question:

Im thirteen years old for some reason i used to be 105 pounds and now 109?

I used to do no activites now i swim, walk run and bikeride all the time. I started gaining weight when i turned thirteen and i started to get so many cravings and always ate so i started to exercise and i wanted to lose weight not gain it? Why?

  1. well first of all...your actually slightly UNDER weight for being thirteen and only 109 pounds.

    and the whole gaining weight and always eating thing is just a part of growing up!! dont worry about it!

  2. it is called PUBERTY! That is what happens when you get older.  

  3. 4 pounds is nothing to be concerned about.

    Also, muscle weighs more that fat and you are likely gaining muscle. As well you are a growing teen... with that comes both height and weight.

    its good to get that. dont be worried about 4 pounds. your a rail as it is.

  5. if you work out, you will gain muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.  also, your weight naturally fluctuates 2 to 3 pounds a day so in reality, you may have only gained one or two pounds.

As many have said... muscle does weigh more than fat. and check your waist... you probably lost a inch there. any way I have the same thing. im a teen to and i weighed 101 like two weeks ago. everyday since then i have swam on my school's swim team at least 2 hours a day and i weigh 104 now. and i get the cravings you talk bout to. its all normal no... no worries:)

  7. It's normal for someone your age to be gaining weight. Your body is changing and you're still growing. Eat a balanced diet, and exercise regularly, but don't stress about 4 pounds of weight gain.

    4 pounds is nothing, especially someone of your age, you are just growing and if you are active like you say you are you are building muscle and everybody should know muscle weighs more then fat.

    At your age I was about your weight and I was told by a doctor I should be gaining more weight for I was too skinny.
