My boyfriend and I and another couple we are close with want to throw a hotel party. I'm basically planning it but i've never been to one before. All I know from my friends experiences is that people basically drink and most likely pass out in the room for the night.

so i figured the best room to get would be a suite that has like 2 bedrooms and a living room. Those can get expensive. So my first question is, how much do those type rooms cost??

also how much liquor should i get if lets say.. 15 of my friends go?? I never drank before so Im not really sure of what kinds, so any suggestions would be helpful.

also, how much is liquor. I dont want to get no cheap bad liquor, but i dont want to spend more than... maybe 100 dollars?? any suggestions please??

also should music be playing, flashing lights, dancing???? or will that be too over the top for a drinking party or will i get in trouble with the hotel for the volume??

any suggestions and past experiences would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much. <3

  1. You'd better check with that particular "hotel" as to what it's policy of "having a party in a suite" is. They'll probably refuse, as there is no way to check the ages of the people who are going to be there.....They will probably steer you to one of their banquet rooms......Do you think that having a bash at a hotel where there are other paying guests considerate?? Let's put the shoe on the other foot and ask you this too: How would YOU feel if you were paying $450.00/night and the suite next to you was having a bachelor party?? I wouldn't be too happy, either.....

  2. ive been to a couple.. you probably need like 4 or 5 half gallons for 15 people. try smirnoff they have different fruity flavors, or some malibu coconut rum. goldshlagger is good if you like big red gum. and music is good just not toooo loud you dont want your party to get busted! also go to the dollar store or grocery store and stock up on chips and snacks. one hotel party i was at, the "hosts" went to mcdonalds and got like 10 double cheese burgers off the dollar menu, everyone loved that! haha hope this helps, have fun :]

  3. Patron and lime (for tequila shots) or get the cheaper (not as smoothe) cuervo or whatever it is called.

As many 30 packs as you can get of any beer. (and a deck of cards because beer games and a hotel is a MUST)

Music CAN be playing, but you got to watch the volume. I dont think most places would mind. If you want try checking into the boston inn (red roof inn, whatever) and rent out two rooms. Boston inn has a nice tv set and internet lol. (I went to a hotel party not too long ago)

You cannot go wrong with vodka (absolut, svedka, grey goose) they mix with just about EVERYTHING. Juice, soda..things like that.

It depends on what liqour you buy..they all cost a different amount. And it also depends on the size of the bottle.

I have been to more then one hotel party actually... and the one thing in common with them was they had hypnotic and corona at it. weird huh?

edit: buy a water melon and a bottle of bacardi. Look up the directions on line.

  4. i have never thrown one but ive been to like 4 or 5. Just get a lot of booze and since its a sweet and there will be like a counter and stuff you should have a drink mixing table... people will know what they want in their drinks so just put like fruit juice and sodas along with what ever liquor you buy. AND ICE. Oh and it might be a good idea to like charge 5 bucks or something to the people who are coming just so that you don't break the bank. These things are never boring so don't worry about that just have fun and ya keep the noise down it sucks getting rolled. Hope that helps.
