  1. You could rent a decent hotel room with a swimming pool. Then the kids will be out of your house and destroying hotel instead. Perhaps limiting her number of guests would be a trade off for the special treat, order pizza, get some board games and have a big slumber party. Another idea is hit up some friends for make-up and health and beauty products they are tired of. Mini make-overs and maybe some 'glamour shots' could make for some fun and cheap entertainment. Regardless,,,, you are a brave brave soul

  2. You could rent some movies for them.  If you have any old makeup that you no longer use or you could go and get some cheap makeup that might be fun for them.  They could have a little make over thing at the house.  Also..you could let them use a camera and they can take silly pictures of each other.  12 year old girls can entertain themselves pretty easy.  Why not have the whole party at your house?  you could just order a sheet pizza and have a couple bags of chips or popcorn for food.  Maybe find a cheap blow up pool for them to use in the backyard?  That way you would have it for the whole summer.

  3. Dollar stores are really inexpensive &&& have really cool things for pools

  4. I was 12 and I remember some ideas;p

    go to one of those kinda cheap hotels and order them a room and they go out to the pool. or just do one of these things when spending the night;

    here are some themes you can do;

    The luau party. Bring the tropics to your backyard or living room. This party works best with a barbecue and a pool, but with the right luau party supplies, you can give pretty much any space that Hawaiian beach feel.

    The murder mystery party. This recent trend among adults may capture your teen’s interest, too – especially if he or she is a fan of any of the current television crime dramas. These parties take some planning ahead, but they can be worth the extra effort.

    The sleepover. This isn’t exactly a theme, but it is a tried-and-true party classic. For a modern twist, try a camping motif. Of course, an invitation to spend the night can extend the fun of any party, whatever the theme!

    go to dollar stores and find what you can do for a theme you might use.

  5. There's SO much they can do!

    First, if you do the pool party that's going to take up a good chunk of time.  After the pool party everyone would head back to her house and that's when there's SO much that can be done that wouldn't cost much.

    First, you can do relay races, potato sack races, three legged races, etc.

    Water balloon fights.

    Go to the dollar store and get a volleyball net, and let them play volleyball, set it up in the backyard.

    Set up an ice cream bar!  Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cherries and let them make their own sundaes.  You can get the plastic sundae glasses at the dollar store OR the waffle cone bowls at the grocery store, or just let them use what you have at home!

    IF they're staying inside for the night, set up the ice cream bar and let them do a fun and games night!  Tell the girls to bring their favorite board games, then tell them to make a list of questions that they would like to ask their friends.  That night, they can decide if everyone answers the questions or if they put them in a hat and only the person that picks them out of the hat answers them.  It's a great way for them to learn more about each other!  Other things they can do at home, are:

    Twister

    charades

    Would you rather game

    Trivia game, they can either make up the questions by researching on the net, each girl comes up with 5 questions, or get a card game.

    What If, these are what if questions that they can answers, they make books that have them, some of the questions would be like:

    What if you could have any talent you want, what would you choose?

    What if you could have the life of one star from a tv series, who would you pick?

    What if you found out your boyfriend wore make-up what would you do?

    What if you could get paid for doing one thing, what would you choose?

    Have each girl pick 5 or 10 of these and then have them all have to answer them, they will have fun learning these things about their friends and may even come up with funny ones!

    You can also get a pinata for them, depending on where the budget's at, remember to get lots of snacks and junk food for back at the house!

    You can even ask some of the girls to bring over a movie or two that's their favorites, they may want to settle down and watch a movie or tv towards the end of the night.  Usually the chlorine in pool tends to tire people out, so they may not be up as late to do all the activities, they may just lounge around and talk by the time they get back to her house.

    I would make sure to tell the girls that are sleeping over to bring their pillows and blankets so they can lounge out and be comfortable.

    You can also have the girls do each other's manicures and pedicures.  It will be fun for them and it won't cost anything.  They can sit around and talk and have fun, and you can ask them to bring their favorite polishes and nail files, and have them pair up and do manis and pedis on each other when they're relaxing.  Just make sure they have flip flops with them so they don't ruin their nails when they're walking around.

    I would also make sure the girls have flip flops with them at the pool, I wouldn't let them walk around the poolside barefoot when they're done swimming.  Make sure they have something to protect their feet from any bacteria, etc.  Chlorine kills bacteria, but once they're out, you want to make sure they're in those locker rooms and around those areas with flip flops on!

    I hope some of these ideas help and that she has a great party and a very Happy Birthday!!
