  1. i belive the PSP is a little bit better than the ipod touch...it can play games, movies, music, and surf the web...the ipod touch can't play games at the quality as the PSP, and the screen i a bit smaller than the PSP...also if you hack the PSP you can download your games for free just as long as you are running custom firmware, also play emulated games like gameboy, gameboy Advance, nintendo, super nintendo, N64, MAME, and a bunch of other homebrew...i love my PSP i only have an ipod to keep all my music on while i drive...so more room on my memory card for games!...good luck

  2. How much of an investment are you planning to make?  If you JUST want the system for gaming and music, go for the PSP.  It has a lot of games, movies on discs that can be played, an MP3 player.  It's fun.

If you want more of a multi-functional long term thing, the iPod Touch would probably be your best bet.  It's much more portable than the PSP, it has a lot of docking stations, car accessories, adorable cases, wonderful technology.  Extremely easy to use and rather durable (my manager at an electronic store will take her key-ring and bang on the screen of the display while talking to customers.  Not a scratch on the display, although I don't recommend trying this on yours.)  Plus all your friends will be absolutely floored, as they're so new and it's so in right now.

I would recommend investing in the extended warranty, as it's new technology and sometimes glitches come up (I haven't heard any complaints yet, but you know how technology is.)

  3. It depends on what you want to do.  PSP plays games and iPod touch plays music and videos.  I would go with the iPod touch.  PSP's get very boring after awhile and the game quality is not that good in the first place. The iPod touch is a newer product that is top of the line for what it does.
