  1. If you are gonna work at the San Juan or Metropolitan Area, you can check for housing in Rio Pedras.  Rio Piedras is where University of Puerto Rico is, so there are a lot of apartments in the area, not too expensive.  You can also consider Hato Rey, Caguas, Bayamon, Guaynabo.  It all depends on what you want, how far away would you like to live, and how much are you willing to pay for.  Pricey areas are: Condado, Old San Juan and Isla Verde.  For adds see:   http://www.clasificadosonline.com/Rental...

  2. which city are you moving to.. i live in georgia and will be moving to san juan... the school sent me a list of housing and apartments... i can send you the list.

  3. Cheap apts are pretty hard to come by close to the san juan area.  You can check out www.clasificadosonline.com to get classifieds for cars, apts. ect.  good luck.  I moved from Ohio two years ago but I live in a very small mountainside town (Utuado)

  4. I am from Puerto Rico Rio Grande apartments are exspensive but out of the city so less traffic and your next to the beach but people say the best place is in Old San Juan cause your next to the Governers house so there is alot of police in the area and crime but be prepared cause tPuerto Rico is packed and a little bit more expensive but it is a wonderful country and my home
