Im traveling to costa rica on september what should i pack ?

Let's see, someone suggested:

sunscreen

bug spray

sunglasses

hat

hiking / walking shoes or boots

camera

extra socks

swimwear/beachwear (if you are going to the coast)

Well, that's an excellent list, but it omits the obvious.  September is the rainiest month in Costa Rica historically followed by October.  Bring your rain gear, and always take a change of clothing in your backpack.  You won't believe how fast it can go from not a cloud in the sky to I can't see because of the d**n rain.  I got soaked today and I have been living here for four years.  I should know better, ha ha ha!

I was there last September and October and it rained for 2 weeks strait so might I suggest an Umbrella and a pair of water boots. I wouldn't go to Costa Rica without these two important items. My mother-in-law lives in Pital, San Carlos and It is amazing how fast it can turn from sunny and not a cloud in the sky to a sudden down pour. You should also take a mosquito net and repellent as well as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat and maybe even a light jacket along with your regular clothes (shorts, tank tops, good walking shoes, jeans...you know) Good luck and have fun.

I agree with TicosLand.com.  Very good suggestion.  It rains very much in Costa Rica, especially September, October, and even November.
