  1. what she said but that covers one computer. or none but that is mandatory. If your computer dosent have a wireless internet build inside your going to need a reciever to get the signals from the router good luck!


  2. You need a router to connect 2 computers to the internet with one cable or dsl modem.

    If you try to connect both at the same time they will conflict unless you have a router.  Here's a list from Circuit City.

    Or tell Best Buy you need a router and they'll fix you up.

  3. It's best to use a router, but maybe you can't afford one right now.  In this case you would need a second network card in your computer.  Then bridge your connection to your xbox using ICS as mentioned in this article.

    You can use USB between the modem and PC but not between the PC and Xbox.   Also network cable is recommended between the modem and PC for best performance.  USB is not optimal for network traffic.

    Xbox does not accept internet data over USB, only network cable or a wireless network adapter.
