Question:

Im trying out for high school feild hockey comming up in August?

I play national ranked ice hockey but i also want to squeeze in a high school sport. i know that I'm not allowed to use the back of the stick and basic stuff like that. what are some drills i could do to get me ready? what should I expect at tryouts? what positions would be good? please help =)

  1. dribbling the ball in and out of cones, corner shots off the goal, remember you can't bring the stick past your waist, so practice shooting on goal with that in mind.  if you play defense in ice hockey, then sweeper might be a good position, if you play offense try center or left or right inner.  ball control is very important in field hockey so make sure to practice you dribbling.
