  1. Your body needs fat and calories to survive. Instead of taking away everything that has fat in it, you should start eating food with the right kind of fat and calories, for example, the fat oil from fish is very healthy.  If you start to starve your body, your body will go into survival mode. This means that when you reduce the fat you eat to a minimum, your body will preserve a higher percentage of the fat it's given. Let's say you normally eat a lot of fat, more than your body needs, it will only store maybe 25% of the fat. But when you reduce the fat to a minimum, it will at first do as normal and by that you will lose weight...for a short time...Then your body will adjust by starting to store maybe 50% of the small amount of fat you digest.  What do you think will happen at once the diet is over? You will gain weight even faster than before.  So, periods of starving or strict diets will make you even fatter than before.

  2. You wont gain weight just eat healthy. I tried to loose weight not eating breakfast and it didnt work it just made me eat more for lunch

  3. You need to eat more often to lose weight.

At least 1,200 calories a day.

Check here to see how many calories you need to eat a day to lose weight.

Break however many calories you need a day down into at least 6 small meals of 200-300 calories on average.

EAT BREAKFAST! Try and find something that you can keep down. I know its high in calories, but my mother can only eat peanut butter on a piece of bread inthe mornings, but its better than NOTHING!

Drink nothing but water or Crystal Light Energy. No sodas or juices or milk as these are sources of empty calories usually. Start taking a multi-vitamin and calcium supplement.

    Get moving!

Do cardio every day of the week (or at least 5 days a week) in sessions of 30 minutes - 1 hour a day! If you aren't sweating you aren't working hard enough!

Do weightlifting exercises every other day.

You have to lose the fat off your stomach for it to appear 'flat'. Then you need to do exercises that work your abdomen. Running, swimming, biking, crunches, situps, there are so many exercises you can do!

    Good Luck!

  4. You've got to do exercise. Period

  5. Not eating is NOT going to help you!!!! In fact - that could be part of your problem! Food is actually about 80% of your weight loss - so eat healthy exercise! Try eating just a little oatmeal or toast in the morning - maybe even just a piece of fruit.

    As for the exercises -

I started doing core exercises a few years ago - I am a belly dancer, and need my hips to be full, but my abs toned. Core exercises have really toned up everything in my torso including my ribs and back and lower stomach area.

Here is a great website that shows some ab workouts - or CORE training!

    http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/core-st...

Also I started running. That has helped me overall, and has toned up my thighs and calves as well - don't know if you are looking for that, but it is a great workout!

Also - I have a personal trainer at my gym and, actually they ALL stress this point very often - you should have one cheat day a week. She always says to stick to a diet 6 days a week and then have a cheat day 1 day a week - that doesn't mean to go crazy and knock yourself out by eating only chocolate and hoards of it - but go out to eat, eat that slice of cake - enjoy it! And then, then, get back to your normal days or not eating it.

This really helps your body not get too adjusted to the same routine. Your metabolism will slow down if you are staying on the same calorie intake day after day. So you are supposed to change things up. Plus this gives us all something to look forward to!

Good luck with getting those results!!!

  6. There are a lot of thoughts going on there.  First, if you don't eat breakfast, you are less likely to lose weight.  Your body needs a constant supply of energy to lose weight (silly as it sounds).  If you don't eat, your body holds on to calories more efficiently and it takes more work to burn any calories.

Flat stomachs come from walking and running.  Jog, walk, and play running sports as much as you can, you'll have a flat stomach.

    Good luck!
