  1. Catherine B is correct.

Its not lack that keeps them in the street--but desire.

You need to work through a local church.....they already have everything you need.

Also if you work through an established local church-it helps keep everyone accountable. Open financing can lead to evil.

  2. Kids are not on the streets for lack of a church.

  3. If you really want to get kids off the street you should build something that they will actually want to attend.

Bars are good... build them a bar. I promise you, so long as you sell the beer at a reasonable price, they will come.

  4. You will not get government grants. get yourself a fund raising committee from the local community. They will now if it is going to help them and their children and as their project you will get your funds. Subject as always to the will of the Almighty. So do not forget the power of prayer

  5. from one ordained minister to another, why not contact your arch diosces? you have to have one to be legally ordained! they will help.parishioners from where you preached last must be interested too! thats what i would do, but what do i know, i just live in my chapel.

  6. Try having fund raisers for your church. Or maybe a fund raiser party and people have to  pay a fee of like 5.00$ to get in! How about you try to get a hold of your governent again? You have to  be persistant and ask god if he  can help you!

    Good luck!

  7. Try to join forces with other churches and neighborhood groups to approach nearby business for donations to build a community center. Young people need a safe place to get together and play basketball, do their homework in peace and quiet, listen to music, and just hang out and talk.

I would line up counselors and residents of the neighborhood (especially responsible men) to mentor the youth that attends the center. You could even have dances, barbeques, etc.

The combined forces of so many church and neighborhood leaders would stand a better chance of getting financial donations and assistance for a shared community center than just one man would get, who is trying to build another church..

    Good luck!! : )
