  1. To find out how many watts that microwave is, you also the ampage.

    Watt = Volt x Amp

  2. You can buy any microwave as long as it is rated for 110Volts. Ask the salesman to check. Make sure you buy one you can fit all you want in it and it fits the kitchen in color.

  3. amps x volts = watts

  4. you can buy the same kind that you buy for your home.

    it will say on the box.

  5. The requirement is for a 110 volt microwave.  The only thing that means is that they do not want you to buy a 220 - 240 volt microwave.  Otherwise the school would have to hire someone to install a 240 Volt outlet and circuit (to the place where the microwave oven is to be installed).

    NOTE: the microwave you buy may also be wired for 120 volts -- that's compatible with the 110 volt requirement.

    How much power do you need???  Microwave ovens come in a range of *cooking* power from 600 watts all the way up to 1200 watts.  What will be the primary purpose of this oven?  to heat up coffee?  to heat up people's lunches and other meals?  to actually cook full meals for many people every day?

    If the only use for this oven is the occasional heating of coffee or hot water for tea, or the occasional cold meal, then a lower power model (600 - 800 Watts) will be sufficient.

    If you need it to cook full meals, and it will be used continually, then I would suggest a high power model (1000 Watts and above).

    Note: the *cooking* power, or RF power inside the microwave oven cavity will be much less than the power drawn from the 120 (or 110) volt outlet.  The maximum power you will be able to draw from the outlet will be about 1650 to 1800 Watts before the circuit breaker trips-off.  For an 1200 Watt microwave oven, that is about the amount of power it will actually draw from the outlet -- over 1500 Watts.  This is due to the ineffciency of the system, mostly from the magnetron that produces the microwave energy.

  6. Hi ! Dear

    Microwave Capacity is indicate always in "Watts".

    and for calculation there is fromula for that  W = V*I

    Where, V=Volt (V)

                  I  = Current  (Ampere)

    If you want to know microwave rating, than you have just know it'a current rating which you can get from microwave's specification plate and than multiply it with volt than you will get microwave capacity in Watts.
