Im trying to buy an engagement ring for my pregnant wife. Need help understanding this please!?

I am buying it online. It sounds like the ring only comes with the mounting diamond ring and the side stones...Does this mean it does not come with the band?

i don't actually have an answer for you... as others have answered it anyway...  but i wanted to tell you that i think it is WONDERFUL that you are buying your wife an engagement ring :)  someday i would like my hubby to surprise me with one to go with my wedding band as well.  gl and congrats!

Where are you buying it? My husband got mine at bluenile.com and he got a great deal, it was very self explanatory, and to top it off the ring appraised for thousands more than we paid (although he did get a small discount through his work). I know when he picked mine out he started by picking a band, then a setting and what kind of diamond, etc.

It includes the band and the side diamonds, NOT the center stone.

No, it means the main BIG diamond in the middle does not come with it.

Please don't buy it online. We went directly to a diamond merchant and got a ring worth over $9000 for only $4000. Seriously, you are setting yourself up to be ripped off. Also, you don't know what sort of diamond you're getting for that (remember the C's?).

That means you still have to buy the CENTER stone-- the most expensive part.  Platinum bands are about three times as expensive as white gold. My advice, go for gold and save the money for junior.

By the way, why are you buying an engagement ring for your wife?  Didn't you get one when you got engaged? That doesn't make any sense.

Doing things a little backward?  With this listing you'd get the band and the side diamonds, not the big one in the middle.
