One option is the Metrolink Antelope Valley line to Union Station, and the Flyaway shuttle from there to LAX.  You can also go to mta.net and see if there are local bus routes that might work.

well you can take a Santa Clarita transit bus line 8 to

Sylmar metrolink station then transfer to the LADOT 573 bus

which offer direct service to the Lax area

(but the last bus departs sylmar at 7:09am

what time do you need to be around the lax area

(I could give you a better idea)

Mass transit from your area to LAX is not very good, to say the least...The train/trolley combo via Union Station downtown will actually take you into El Segundo (south of LAX) - OK if that is where you want to go...Double check the train schedule because after the commute hours, it gets thin to non-existent...FlyAway bus service from Van Nuys airport will take you directly inside the airport (departure level) with no stops in-between (parking $4/day)...Every 15-30 minutes...They also leave from Union Station, if you are considering the train - again, watch the train schedule (parking $6/day)
