The character I'm creating is meant to be beautiful but I can't think of many ways to describe her beauty or any ideas of what other features the character could have, If you have any good describing words or any ideas of good features a person should have, please let me know : )

  1. Say something about her skin, eg if its pale or dark, something like "her pale skin made her look like a ghost in fog"?

Anyway, describe as much as possible about her. here are some examples:

"matted locks or dark hair clung to her neck." (scruffy hair)

"Elegant locks of dark, slightly wavey hair, dropped just below her shoulders"

"[womans name/she] looked around her early twenties, and she was lovley-not beutiful but definatly a striking woman"

"Her clear blue eyes fixed upon [item]"

simple things like this is a perfect way to describe a character on first appearance. Hope this helps ;)

  4. I will answer your question by first asking some questions. :)

Are you creating a character that has the face of an angel, masterfully sculpted body that moves with the grace of a princess, and infectious attitude that makes anyone around her feel at ease? Does her soft innocent giggle and sparkly eyes light up the office? Does she only seem beautiful - having a darker side that is to emerge later in the story? Reader surprise can be planned.

Three ways to introduce the beauty of the person

    1) Physical beauty : we might describe the how she looks in the face or body - or dress. Her specific attributes could be described either directly or by comparison or contrast - 'She had more curves that a burlap bag full of bobcats'. The idea is to introduce the character so that the reader quickly gets a first impression. The impression may or may not be as it seems. The words you use should be in keeping with the setting (Time and Space) your story is in.

    2) Beauty in motion : How does our character enter the scene? This should give us some idea of what her current purpose is. Does she glide in with grace? Does she really work her hips - showing off her stunning attributes? Is she an athletic character with more powerful attributes?

    3) Beauty of intent : We generally want to develop a character through the story. Is this character beautiful inside as well? Which virtues shall we assign her - and to what extent? (Caring, Nurturing, Enthusiastic, generosity, purity, innocence) These can help shape reader impression of the character. Again, surprise can be employed later in the story. If it is, then emphasize the 'beauty' that surprise involves. She acted all innocent - but the tiger emerges unexpectedly.

We can make a beautiful lady with any hair color, nose shape, neck curvature, eye color, or body shape.  Grab an attribute set that you  can relate to and write a future for our beautiful lady.
