Im trying to eat healthier and changing parts of my everyday life by changing foods and doing more exercise?

I wanted to know what is the best type of milk to drink?

Right now i drink the blue top milk (homogenized? :S)

Also ive been told to eat proteins? Which?

Sometimes its a case of what you eat rather than what you cut out....everything in proportion as they say....just make sure you get enough essential vitamins and minerals from fresh fruit and veg....good luck...dont forget...exercise is important too....take up a sport with a friend or friends...

  3. Everyone has answered differently lol If your from the UK then you have these:

    full fat - blue top

    semi skimmed - green top

    skimmed - red top

    sainsbury's also do an orange top but I can't remember if thats lower then skimmed or in between red and green.

    Red is better then green and green is better then blue. As part of a healthy diet red or green is fine.

  4. skim milk is better, to get protein eat stuff like eggs, tuna, peanut butter and chicken...hope that helps

  6. skim milk is fine(blue top i think), soy isn't bad either.  Eat proteins from nuts, chicken breast, turkey breast, fish(best one).  Stay away from anything that is made with white flour

  7. Dont drink whole milk , bc it has tons of cholesterol.

    Have skim or fat free milk

    As for the proteins - you should have

    baked chicken & fish they are loaded with protein

    Also nuts have alot of protein

    Eat lots of veggies & fruitsss

    And drink alot of water when excercising

  8. well blue top milk is the fattest milk there is its called whole milk then the milk lower down from that is healtheir its the semi-skimmed milk that is the blue top then the milk lower down from that is the red top milk which is called skimmed milk.  

    and  proteins is foods like meat: turkey, chicken , fish, lamb,   oh and nuts

  10. Hi, skimmed milk is great, but some people don't like it.  If you can't go that far, try semi skimmed.

  11. Drink the pink top milk --- skim milk.  It's got almost no fat in it, while the blue top milk (I'm assuming 2%?) has more.

    Eat lean, grilled proteins.  Chicken, fish, turkey, tofu.  You can also get your protein from cheese, eggs, and nuts.  Don't fry anything!

  12. Choose skim or 1% milk to drink. It has less fat. As for a general diet,

    Try this

    Breakfast

    Egg whites, 1 slice wheat toast

    10:30 Am Snack--apple or pear, 3 walnut halves

    Lunch--Huge green salad, tomatoes, cucumbers, vinaigrette dressing, plus skinless chicken, turkey or fish

    3:30 PM Snack--apple or pear, 3 walnut halves

    Dinner--Huge plate of greens (spinach, broccoli, cabbage, kale) plus skinless chicken, turkey or fish

    Drink 8 glasses of water and all the sugar free lemonade you want
