  1. Try http://www.crimcheck.com, they have an extensive public records section that you can use for free!  


  2. I have never found an online site that is free. Yes, free to do a search and see that there might be results found, but not free to see the details. One way DOES work, but you have to search the records yourself in person. Public records are held in most places by the county clerk.You need the office of the people who record deeds for real estate, birth and death certificates and such. If you appear at the clerk's office, you, as a citizen, have the right to examine all public records held by the clerk. There may be a fee to anything other than to simply look at the records, such as make copies or get certified copies of the documents. You will NOT have unrestricted access to the whole criminal record of an individual, just the records from any court cases in which that person appeared which have been resolved, and then all you get access to is the court transcript, verdict and sentence, if any, handed down by the court.
