Question:

Im trying to find help on how to replace a rod bearing on a porsche 944 trubo. approx cost,

what else should be done while im in there. compression is perfect all the way around, the top and bottom end was just rebuilt. but i spun a rod bearing. what to do... look for a new engine? or try to fix. thank you all

  2. It is no more complicated than any modern day inline four cylinder overhead cam engine. You will need to remove the head and the piston-rod assembly from the bearing that spun and the crankshaft, get them refurbished (ground). Assembly is like any other inline four cylinder overhead cam engine.

  3. Get a new engine- much easier to deal with.  If you are not familiar with a Porsche, it's just not worth it.
