  1. You can find home ovulation tester kits at a grocery store or pharmacy. These will tell you when you are ovulating.

  2. just keep having un protected s*x b4 you do.

  3. If your period is expected this Friday you probably already ovulted.  You might want to take a look at fertilityfriend.com.  You might be able to find some tips.  Charting your basil body temp is easy and can help you figure out when you are ovulating.  If you miss your ovulation the first month at least you will know when to expect it the next month.  Also, some people don't ovulate each month.  This site might be helpful to you.

  4. Knowing your time of ovulation is crucial to successful conception. Your fertile period starts about 4-5 days before ovulation, and ends about 24-48 hours after it. This is because sperm can live in your body for approximately 4 to 5 days, and the egg can live for 24 to 48 hours after being released. Maximum fertility is reached during the period of 24 hours before ovulation and 24 hours afterwards. To increase your chances of getting pregnant, you should time intercourse to occur during this 'fertile window'. See Getting Pregnant for more information.

Ovulation usually takes place 14 days after the beginning of your menstrual cycle. The time of ovulation within the menstrual cycle is determined by the luteal phase, which is usually 12 to 16 days long. You can calculate the time of ovulation within your cycle by subtracting the length of your luteal phase from the length of your cycle. For example, if your cycle is 28 days long and your luteal phase is 12 days long, the ovulation will occur on day 16 of your cycle (28-12=16). The exact time of ovulation may vary within your cycle, because ovulation can be delayed by a number of factors such as stress, illness, diet, or increased physical activity.

That being said, cervical mucus isnt a reliable sign of pregnancy. When you are ovulating and for up to four days afterward you will notice that your cervical mucus becomes very thin, slippery, and much like the consistency of egg whites. This is what is called fertile cervical mucus as it allows the sperm to travel quite easily through the cervix into the fallopian tubes to meet the egg and fertilize it. While the egg white cervical mucus is a good indicator of ovulation and fertility, what happens next varies from woman to woman.

After ovulation most women find that their cervical mucus tends to be much stickier than during ovulation. The problem here is that most women report that they have cervical mucus during pregnancy but it is generally very sticky, so how do you tell the difference between your typical post ovulation mucus and the mucus that is seen during pregnancy? Most women cannot see the difference between the two. Some women are lucky enough to experience implantation bleeding which is usually pink or brown tinted mucus. This is different than your period as it will come earlier than when your period is expected and generally is not blood but pink or brown tinted mucus that is not seen for all that long.

you can use this ovulation callander.. its pretty precise to. just go to www.yourdays.com
