Memory tricks: Well when i was young my dad used to play 'Name the capital" game with my brother and i, and i found it easier to remember the capitals by making a funny pronunciation of the name and pretending the ppl of that nation (dress them up in their traditional clothes in your mind) or someone famous and saying the funny pronunciation. Also you can try associating them with something.

Eg Hitler standing on the Berlin wall  , or like the Viennese Waltz originated from austria, Somalia's capital is 'Mogadishu'   etc
