  1. It's great that you have such initiative! You will go very far in life.

Maybe you can try to get audio tape lessons from your local library, and practice pronounciation and excersise your listening.

    Good luck!

  2. Here are some resources to help you

French in Action- 52 immersion videos- 1980's but good.

    http://www.learner.org/resources/series8...

    livemocha.com  (like Rosetta Stone)

    http://french.about.com/library/begin/bl...

  3. To speak any language properly, you will need formal instruction and teachers to correct your grammar, spelling, syntax, idiomatic expressions, etc. When I'm learning a new language, there are times when I think I've formulated a sentence correctly only to discover later (when I see the corrections on my compositions and such) that there are nuances I don't know about. This is something you won't get through books and language tapes alone. Besides, you will need an environment (such as a classroom) to practice verbal expression and actual conversation rather than just learning the meaning of foreign words. Bonne chance quand même (good luck anyway).

  4. Find the lyrics and get a French-English dictionary--Singing along would be a good idea. You should also look for French films. Also make flashcards and put pictures in the back and practice. So far, it's free to chat with people on livemocha.com, you could find native speakers there who could help you out. And they have fairly adequate exercises, even thought it's still beta. 5. well i'm taking french now but before i had it i had ur problem to.

can u take a french course at ur school?

it's good to watch movies in french with english subitles and t.v. shows and alot of songs. it helped me alot and speaking french before u say anything in english helps with pronounciation.

i have thos ebooks too. they did not help much.

you can go to websites that give u lessons for free but u gotta search hard to find them

sry. i'm not much help. je desole et bon chance!

  6. Wow! 13 and learning French! On your own, no less. Very, very impressive. Good luck :) You can do it!

Anyways, I don't have much in the way of advice, but try to read French news when you can. I know it can be boring, but it can also be a good vocabulary-building tool. Also shows you opposing views of the world, which can help in certain school courses. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, as the saying goes.

Also try to read French forums. They expose you to modern slang found in francophone (french-speaking) world. You can also read on topics you like, and even participate in the discussion, forcing you to use what French you know, and expand your knowledge.

    Hope this helps! :)
