Question:

Im trying to list some items on ebay, but my photos are too big, how do i reduce my photos to 4mb?

  2. I'm guessing these are images off your digital camera. Probably something like 1600 x 2000. What you need to do is use an image editing program to change the size of the pictures.

    Paint.net is a free program and it will allow you to resize your images in just a couple steps.

    Download it here: http://www.getpaint.net/ click the "Get it now" link.

    Once you download and install the program, all you do is open your picture like you would with any other program.

    With the picture open select Image>Resize from the menu at the top of the screen. I would recommend something in the 4x6 range with a resolution of 72dpi or 96dpi.

    Then save the file. Once it's resized I would recommend changing the name. Maybe add a -1 at the end or -ebay. This way you don't lose the original image.

    There are many other image editing programs you can use. I normally use Adobe PhotoShop. But paint.net is a free program that is fairly easy to use. You can also use it for things like removing red eye and more.
