This has been happening even in the case of making circular crochet patterns. How do I avoid this waviness?

  1. Stretch and iron the rug.

  2. The waviness happens because there are too many stitches in the rounds.  When there are too many stitches anchored in a smaller number it has no where to go so it gets wavy.  If you had too little stitches it would all curl inwards (like a hat).  Try looking at other patterns that make a flat circle and see how many stitches the increase each round (it's usually something like 1 stitch for every 12).

  3. first   make sure all your yarn is same weight    did you  start

with making  say 5 chain      and work round in a square

shape    if it is coming out wavy  i would say you could be adding  a stitch here and there which would cause this to happen     i love crochet   and do lots of it       i would love to help you with  this work    if you do not get it sorted  i will send you a sample    free  nothing to pay  at all      good luck    annm

  4. Your not spacing your increase properly.  If you see it start to curl pull back to where it lays flat and add a stitch or two.  If this does not help contact me
