  1. The main option is bus; the bus system is quite extensive. There are also ferries that go from Seattle to Bainbridge Island, Vashon Island, and Bremerton. Commuter trains (working in conjunction with Amtrak) go between Seattle and Tacoma, and Seattle and Everett. A new light rail service will summer 2009, and will continue to be expanded over the next decade or so.

  2. bus system

    ferry system

  3. There are buses and light rail is coming.

  4. Bus, ferry, and train.

You can ask more specific questions, and get really good answers here. Tell us exactly where you will be living, and where you will be working, and other places you will want to go, and we can tell you the best way to get there. There are some public transit experts here.

  5. Taxi and Bus are the main types

  6. Metro bus is pretty much the main option in the city limits, though there are Sound Transit commuter trains and buses that go to surrounding  areas such as Pierce County, Snohomish County and the Eastside. There is also a deteriorating ferry system and a pointless streetcar  (Called the s**t; South Lake Union Trolley) between S lake union and the westlake center downtown.

  7. They have a bus system...it runs all around town and goes down to Tacoma and Olympia and such. Unfortunately there isn't much of a metro or anything. There is the monorail but that's mainly for tourists, it's not at all a complex system, I believe there's only one route. Maybe two.
