Im trying to plan a holiday from Bangalore for 8 people (3days and 2 nights) within 10 thousand Indian Rupees.

Question

I know i'm asking for too muhc, but the group is a bunch of college students, who dont have a big budget. Any ideas? I was thinking mudumalai / coorg / bandipur / yercaud.. Do you know of any cheap resorts / travel options in these areas or surrounding ones.

look for government transport and govt. resorts and lodges in those area. it may go as per your budget.

Coorg is a good option as it has many home stays. They start at 200rs per person/night. I have personally been there and for about 500rs you get a very good option. You can get an entire bunglow for 2-3K per night.

If you search on Yahoo you will get more of these sites

Also, travel to coorg is not expensive - as there are multiple KSRTC buses and also proivate buses

10K should be sufficient for 8 people in my opinion

Yercaud is also a good option, same cost as coorg - but coorg is much nicer

go on hitch hiking and stay in youth hostels--dharmshalas10000/- is pea nut for 8 people and i.e.3 days 2 nights.
