Question:

Im trying to print 4x6 pictures on 4x6 photo paper but evertime they don't print to size.

i have a hp2110 printer and I am using hp glossy photo paper that is 4x6. When I go to print im never sure which paper size to pick..4x6 bordless or photo 4X6 with tab. I have tried both ways but it never comes out right :(

  1. I would start by printing one of them on normal paper, set to draft, in b&w (to save on ink). Now measure it....... is it actually the 4 x 6 ratio, even if not the 4 x 6 size?

    If not, then you need to crop it to the correct ratio.

    Once you have the correct ratio, it is just a matter of finding a program that will give you the control you want over what size to print it at. I have found that some program stubbornly do what they want, not how I want it.

  3. Have you cropped them to 4x6?  Most point and shoot cameras do not take pictures in that ratio, so you have to make sure you do it in Photoshop or whatever program you use.

  4. Why don't your tell your printer that you are printing full size (4x5) and it will print them either in the center of the 4x6 paper or you can tell the printer to have zero margin on the the long end ... your choice.
