The band is sterling silver... cheap i know, but it is 1.21 karats. I was just wondering about how much I could sell this for.

  1. You should be returning the ring to him!

Otherwise - there is this great new site -

    http://www.exboyfriendjewelry.com/

  2. He should get the ring back. Legally, engagement rings are not seen as "gifts" so in the case of the engagement being broken, he would receive the ring....unless you are the one who paid for it.

  3. you should give it back to the guy   that tradition

  4. depends on the quality of the diamond.  most likely if you sell if to a jewelry store, they'd re-mount the diamonds (if they're good) on a better band.  sterling silver isn't going to get you much.

  5. I highly, highly doubt that it's real. No jeweler in their right mind would set a 1.2 karat diamond in sterling silver. There is no reason for it. If you can afford 1.2 karats you can afford it in gold. I'm guessing it's a CZ.

  6. Sorry - it needs to be given back.  In fact, courts have determined that engagement rings are always an item given dependent upon the act/as a promise of marriage and are actually the property of the person (man or woman) who purchased the ring.

Note to Brandy - But it's the remaining 1/10th that ACTUALLY MATTERS.  Go ahead, bring out the down thumbs. It takes ten parts to get ten, my friend.

  7. Are you sure it's real?

No offense, but if the guy was engaged to someone else too and had a kid with her do you really think the stone is real and set in silver?

    Gimme a break.

  8. you shouldnt sell it trust me you'll regret it

  9. I would bring it to a jewelery store for appraisal.  1.21 carats may still vary since you also need to consider clarity, cut, and color.

You can get example pricing at www.exceldiamonds.com, but be advised that this is their resale value and they typically buy for less than that.

  10. to every1 who answered with legal mumbo jumbo... possession is 9 /10 of the law. don't let any1 else know what u plan on doing and he won't miss it. if he asks u about it u misplaced it.

  11. Why dont you give it back to the guy who gave it to you. Unless he cheated.

Ok , Than you deserve it!!!! Its all yours
