Question:

Im tuning my snowboard, and there is this white residue along the edges?

does anyone have any idea of what it is? or how to get rid of it?

  1. I agree it is probably wax. If you are using a file it would easily remove water spots or salt residue. You might not be putting enough angle on the edge with your file in turn you are filing the wax from your base next to your edge onto your edge.

  3. its probobly just the dried up snow that was on your board. Its just a water mark and you can get it off with water and scrubbing it off.

    -salt if you left it on the groung in the parking lot.

    -mildew, if you stored it wrong

  5. It could be salt, but if it was, I think it's more likely that it would have corroded the edges.  It may be metal powder from filing it down, or possibly you accidentally rubbed the sidewall a bit?

    I would just say get a damp paper towel and run it along your edges once or twice, then dry it.  See if there's anything still there.
