Im turnig 16 soon, and unsure of how to celebrate. low budget and need help!?! Please help me????

i am someone who worries if people are not having a good time, so a disco is not my best option, around 20 people to be asked, girls and hopefully some new boys :) lol.

any suggestions would be great help to me as i am very stuck on the idea.

just chill at home, open gifts, have a chocolate or any sweet hunt, whatch a movie, eat, have a bbq. or take them to the movies and come back to your place. They will have tons of funn! trust me

*Okay So first and foremost HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HAPPY SWEET 16 TO YOU!!!

* i am assuming that you are a girl i dont know if your girlly or whatever but heres some choices... since its summer have fun with it!!

*Music: Make a few of your own cd's with what ever music it is that you like.

Theme: Luau- have a blow up palm tree, streamers in greens oranges and yellows, buy a kiddie pool and fill it with ice, you can put the drinks in that as well as cold foods its a 241 deal there lol! *You can pass out leis, and you can make your own invitations too out of like construcion paper, make them the shape of pineapples, or you can use the leis with an invitation connected to it.

*Chinese theme- Have paper lanterns red and yellows streamers, serve chinese food ( and you can always make your own Trust me!! if you need help with those i work at a asian resturant i could help you!

*You could do a costume party, where everyone comes dressed in a certain costume..

*You could do a colour theme party like everyone has to wear white, pink, blue the sky is the limit.

*Okay so food then..

*BBQ, You can do appitizers, such as a veggie tray, you can do crackers, meats of what ever kind you like cubed, cubed cheese.. chips pickles, finger foods, You could also do pizzas that you made.. or tacos.. the sky is the limit once agian

and again HAVE A SWEET AND SAFE SUPER 16th!

When I was your age, it was popular to have BYO - Bring Your Own. The guests brought the drinks and you just need to provide nibbles.

Cheap nibbles inc crisps, nuts, popcorn and pizza!

Have a costume party! Everyone has fun in costume and at the very least it will be memorable - try fav superheros, famous couples, celebrity look alike, wild animals. I throw a lot of parties and one idea to serve a bunch of people on a budget it to have a baked potato bar - have all the fixins & baked potatos out - let guests serve themselves - serve them in bowls so it doesn't get messy. - check out allrecipes.com for ideas too!

ill say have a house party..get 1 of your friends to DJ.. Buy like cocktail food & drinks....Or watch super sweet sixteen & learn..lol

cook out some hamburgers and hot dogs, some cake and ice cream that is it for food and some drinks, if inside try to play games put some cds in ur stereo or computer and have a dance party, if outside u can have a volleyball game, baskett ball game, or even better water balloons or even the hoses, you can play a game of football for the guys, bring your radio outside and play some kool cds to  dance too, or have a costume party,
