you should dress in a big quince dress... a big poofy one. the one the mexican girls where on the 15th birthday party.. ( might be 16th but im no expert ) and have a cake walk... those are the only two ideas i have. i mean other than the obvious mexican food lol

I did my small graduation party in a Mexican theme and we came up with a few things:

- papel picado:  it's the paper they use in Mexico to decorate the streets for festivals

- paper flowers:  I made them myself with tissue paper and green wire, then put them inside empty glass coca-cola bottles filled with sand to use a centerpieces

- red & white checkered table clothes with an embroidered design; embroidering a design on this type of tablecloth was a final assignment that girls did in home ec in Mexico, so my mom made mine

- instead of a punch bowel we had jarras (big glass barrels) filled with horchata, agua de jamaica, and lemonade

- I also had a pinata filled with candy

- some of my guest wore zarapes and the girls wore embroidered dresses or shirts
