  1. What you really need to do, is to get in touch with Wishcraft - they organise and book anything and everything for people.  We use them alot.  You can get them to research the best places to go etc to suit your likes dislikes and budget - they can then have everything in place for when you get there and your girlfriend will be well impressed!  Then you can tell her you got your own personal concierge service to arrange everything!

  2. Don't mind Sky Cats, you're miles away from the Ring of Kerry!

Good places near Limerick are Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, the Burren, the Cliffs of Moher, Lough Derg, Lough Gur and the Neolithic stone circle at Grange. You could also drive out to Curraghchase park, and on the way stop off at Carrigogunnel caste which has terrific views over the Shannon Estuary.

It's a pity you're not there a week earlier, there's a lot more going on then. But such is life.

Treat her to a nice lunch in either the Sage Cafe on Catherine Street or Moll D'Arby's on George's Quay, both serve delicious food.

  3. If she's at UL you could take her to the...oh what is it? Castletroy Park Hotel. Yes, it's out in Castletroy, by the University - they have a lovely afternoon tea - a proper tea with the lot - biscuits and cakes and stuff. It's all very posh. I don't see anything a/b it on the website but I SWEAR they do it - or at least they did a few years ago.

I don't know what she's into - if ye are up for some traditional music - they're almost always a session going on (try Tom and Jerry's, Nancy Blakes...etc). Dolans Warehouse usually has something going on...the Trinity Rooms does too - those are both night bars/clubs.

  4. My recommendation would be to take a half day trip around the Ring of Kerry. Stop at any location that interests you, take photos, have lunch, visit the shore. http://www.ringofkerrytourism.com/

    Ring of Kerry is beautiful.
