best malls -- fun republic, manimajra &amp; ebony, sec-9, chd.

shopping centers -- few of them..the best being sec-17 and then the common man shopping sectors of 19 &amp; 22.

movie theatres -- again fun republic..you&#039;ll find present movies in a good viewing environment.

best food shops -- chandigarh has rich food heritage and almost every sector has good food joints..but the hub of fooding is in sec-35 and off lately also in sec-26..if possible, avoid eating non-veg in the start..

places to see -- rock garden.. sukhna lake is nothing special but a stroll there will really relax you from the noice and the initial extreme impressions about India..

pl. remember..chandigarh is NOT a tourist city but its a heaven inside India..u will know when u visit India..enjoy your travel !!

-For shopping u can check out sector 17. Sector 35 has many restaurants. For south Indian food, don&#039;t forget to visit &#039;sagar Ratna&#039; in sector 35.
