Im wanting to buy a sirius radio.any ideas of this or xm?

i know nothing about sirius radio but i do like music alot and thinking this may be the way to go?monthly fee,can you install yourself or professional has to do it?what are the good and the bad about it,and you can also detach from your car and listen in your home?about what does it cost ?thanks for anyones help here.

  1. I had xm in a rental and siruis in a rental. The both only have about 20-30 music stations of those you would probably listen to 5, maybe when you buy the reciever you get more stations these were integrated in the car (it was a caddy). One thing I hated was everytime you drive under an overpass the music cuts???You would think that with todays tech. we could get radio signal everywhere.


  2. XM and Sirius are merging this summer and will become one so it really doesn't make any difference which Provider you go with. You can install your self it is very easy to do. and you can detach it from your car and use it in your home but you have to get the home kit. The receivers cost anywhere from $30 up to $150. with a monthly cost of $12.95 but will be going up to $14.95 after the merger
