  1. x100 will add more height to your shots than 300. The 100 will add clubhead speed. The difference between 100 and 300 (besides 200) is the weight. The stiffness of a shaft is consistent throughout. A shaft considered "S" for stiff has X amount of bend when X amount of pressure is applied to it. The weight, is the other distinguishing factor of it's stiffness. A 100 when swung at over 65 mph will have more flex lag than 300 weight. The reason for this is overall weight distibution. When there is more weight in the head than the shaft the shaft will flex at the start of the downswing and continue through contact. 100 will flex more because it is lighter and therefore there is a different weight distribution throughout the club more weight focussed on the clubhead. This added flex(however minute) will launch the ball higher because there is greater flex lag. 300 is heavier so it will not be as affected by the clubhead as much and will carry less flex lag and lower trajectory shots than 100.

  2. 100's are the stiffest

    300's are standard stiff

    400's are regular

The biggest issue (historically) with extra stiff shafts is that they get incredibly heavy. This is becoming less and less of an issue as they develop more technologically advanced materials.

So, in essence, the super lite 100's will fell just like the standard 300's (and in fact they do). If you swing fast enough (or quick enough, there is a difference) then they are an incredible performance improvement over the standard 100' (which were a freaking mookoo stick).

    Good Luck!!!
