Im white and my uncle is black?

im a white guy and my uncle is black, ofcourse he was married into the family, and ive seen so many stereo types of how people think black males are such horrible people. like a question that was deleted earlier someone said why are there blacks in the world? my uncle had a rough life and he sold drugs and all of that when he was younger but i noticed that at the end of the day he is just a normal person who likes to laugh and have fun like anyone else does, and he is really nice. so why do people hate on what they see on the ouside? is it that they are afraid?

People are ignorant.  They take foolish pride in being part of a race, when in fact they have no control over what group they are born into.  

Black people are just like any other people--they laugh, bleed and love just the same.  Your uncle's history is a common tale of black men, but it is not the only story. There are many black men who are not nor have not been imprisoned, sold drugs, etc.  For some reason, however, people seem to focus on this more than the achievements of blacks.  Perhaps it is because there is a disproportionate number of blacks who are not doing well. However, as far as actual numbers go, more whites commit crimes and have the same issues.

People just don't want to realize that different can also be the same.  It is fear, it is false pride, and it is what is tearing this world apart.

"of course he was married into the family..." Wow!  sounds like you are as uncomfortable and afraid of stereotypes as the people you are accusing.  if he's so normal, why are you setting him up as a test case?

I get tired of hearing this question, and variations of this question several times a day.  Yes, people that are racist are intimidated and feel threatened by someone that doesn't look like them.

Maybe if we keep answering this question, we can save one person.  lol  Seriously though...racism is so last year!

Because there are some people that are still living in the past, who have closed minds. They are afraid of what they do not know , and are afraid to make  changes. And people hate ....because they are stupid,not mature and are locked inside the box.

I think I answered this question, about 10 times in the past. IT'S IGNORANCE IGNORANCE IGNORANCE. Prejudice attitudes that have been passed down from generation to generation.

I'm black and both my uncle and mom are white, what difference does it make. Blacks are here to stay no matter what racists says.
