Im willing to buy a canoe or a 2 person kayak any advise to help me chose?

im a begginer, I intent to use it in diferent kind of waters (little rapid rivers or duck hunting lakes) and i need it to be safe because i will use it whit my 7 years old son sometimes

A canoe may be a better choice than a kayak. They are usually quite stable. Contact a local canoe group. Check your local newstand for canoe/kayak magazines. They run equipment issues. Try Mohawk in Florida.

Kayaks are much more safer, especially for a child.  There are all kind of safety options that you have to secure your kid.  Canoes are a little bit more risky when you're toting around precious cargo.  

At the same time, Kayaks have the double paddles, which are a little bit harder for children to operate.  Where as canoes are singles.  

Personally, I have a Kayak, and my little nieces love it.

These are made of rubber, and they are the most comfortable you will ever see.  I have one. You can put a sail on it too. It is awesome in the white caps when motorboats not dare to venture.
