Im writing a compare and contrast essay on abortion and i was wondering if what I have so far would be good?

The essay starts out like this: One of the most talked about topics that is debated today is the issue of abortion.Ever since the epic Roe vs Wade in 1974 the argument of the right to life vs the right to choose has played an important role in the development of families as well as in politics. In this paper I will explain the facts about abortion as well as what people should know about abortion.

In the first paragraph i plan on stating the statistics of abortion. In the second paragraph I was going to give some useful facts and then in the last paragraph i was going to write about what people should know about abortion. Does that sound like a compare and contrast essay to you?

If you can chose your topic then chose something else. Abortion has been done to death (no pun intended) in compare and contrast essays!
