  1. If your report is due in 15 days, you have plenty of time to do lots of searching on the internet.  And, lots of time checking reference books in your local library.

But it would certainly seem that she could not give birth to another child after she was dead.

    Good Luck!

  2. Isabella I of Spain (April 22, 1451 – November 26, 1504) was Queen regnant of Castile and León and she died at the age of 53. It is highly impossible that Isabella died of childbirth since her youngest child, Catherine of Aragon was already 46 years old when Isabella died, and also a grandmother herself.

However, Isabella's eldest born child, who was also named Isabella, Princess of Asturias died in childbirth while giving birth to her only son Miguel da Paz from her second marriage to Manuel I of Portugal. Isabella of Asturias (1470 – 15 August 1498) was the Queen Consort of Portugal and the eldest daughter and heiress presumptive of King Ferdinand II of Aragon and Queen Isabella of Castile. She was the sister of Catherine of Aragon.

  3. The "Wiki" answer from Rachelle makes no sense:

"Isabella I of Spain (April 22, 1451 – November 26, 1504) was Queen regnant of Castile and León and she died at the age of 53. It is highly impossible that Isabella died of childbirth since her youngest child, Catherine of Aragon was already 46 years old when Isabella died, and also a grandmother herself."

So the info above says Isabella 1 died at the age of 53 and her youngest child, Catherine Of Aragon, was 46 when Isabella died.  Perhaps I misread the info.  But that would mean that Isabella gave birth to her youngest child when she was SEVEN YEARS OLD.

Best to do as much research as you can on your own and double check any facts that you find on the internet.

  4. I think you are confusing Queen Isabella with her eldest daughter, Infanta Isabella. She married Manuel I of Portugal, becoming  Isabella, Princess of Asturias. This is the Isabella who died in childbirth and her son Miguel died at the age of two.

Queen Isabella was 53 when she died and I highly doubt she was giving birth.

  5. Queen Isabella I of Spain lived from 1451-1504. She had a hard life, traveling present-day Spain, to unite Aragon and Castile. I doubt she died giving birth: her youngest child, Katharine of Aragon, was 19 when Isabella died. Isabella, Princess of Asturias (her daughter), died while giving birth to her second child. The first was a son, Miguel, who died at age 2.

    Good luck and good researching!
