I can find articles arguing why its better to by green products than just conserve instead. I can find tons suggesting that it is beter to conserve rater than buy green products. Can anyone find any

Its beneficial to buy green products because they have met stricter enviromental standards. By using these products instead you are one less person using chemicals and ingredients that go into our atmosphere,waterways etc  damaging the ozone, and causing Co2 emissions that are responsible for global warming. I would recommend watching "An inconvenient truth" on dvd if you are unfamiliar with how emissions damage the enviroment and are causing global warming.

I think both are equally important. Conserving is limiting the Co2 emissions you put out on a daily basis, "Going" green is making sure the things you do use are enviromentally safe. Using these two options together is a double whammy on fighting global warming. Little things each person can do in their daily lives. So I recommend a combination of both.
