Images recently released by government?

I heard that the government; by law - they can only keep them for so long, are having to release pictures that have been kept from the public in case of a mass panic - where can i see these?

Photos cannot be classified for that reason.

Under US law something cannot be classified unless the classification authority can clearly identify the specific damage to national security disclosure of the information would cause.

In fact the laws covering what can and cannot be classified are very clear and strictly enforced.  (People responsible for classified information are required by law to challenge 'inappropriate classification.')

The government will never release those photos that would create mass hysteria. The government does not have to release them to the public ever.
