Imaginary Diva with real potential for the Better Prices At Betvictor Handicap
The three-year-old bay filly, Pucon, is one of the brightest candidates in the Class 5 Better Prices At Betvictor Handicap. She is the highly likely entry for bagging the £2,264 prize money at Brighton on Monday, 17th September, 2012. Trying to eliminate Pucon’s chances of success, and competing against her, are six other three-year and above runners.
The Roger Teal trained won the thermolastroofing.co.uk Handicap on 21st August, 2012 at Brighton over 5 ½ furlongs. Riding with jockey, Mark Coumbe, the bay filly put in all the possible effort towards the concluding furlongs of the race. Leading inside the final furlong had her racing through the wire by the margin of half-length.
Finishing right behind the winner was, Imaginary Diva.
The race was the second time that Kyllachy’s daughter won through the career, but only during the current season.
Lucky with the backing of 7 to 2 chances along with the first post that she has drawn gives her an edge over the rest of the contenders.
Another potential in the field is the six-year-old bay mare, Imaginary Diva. She has raced at Brighton five times ever since the new season dawned.
Lend A Hand’s six-year-old daughter won the Checkatrade Handicap on 10th August, 2012 at Brighton over 5 ½ lengths.
Imaginary Diva was a faded story at the beginning of the race, but became the centre of attention by the final furlong. Staying determined during the final lengths of the track, made her escape defeat by the slight margin of a short head’s difference.
The favourite entry, Funcheon Vale, qualified as the runner-up.
The next time that she raced, the George Margarson trained, was pushed down from the first position to the second in the thermolastroofing.co.uk Handicap on 21st August, 2012.
The race was won by, Pucon, and the two will confront each other once again today.
Imaginary Diva has more racing experience at Brighton than Pucon, and she is being supported by 6 to 1 odds. She has drawn the seventh gate, while Pucon will race out of the first stall.
An added advantage that Imaginary Diva enjoys is the companion ship of jockey, Tom Queally.
