I would have to pick one of the many species of bacteria.  From them, other forms of life could once again evolve.

If it was to occur I dont' think we would have a choice and more than likely the world will be ruled by cockroaches.  d**n things can survive anything.

haha they are hermaphrodites so can they can also reproduce without needing another worm, and they fertilise soil which would help grow more plants and stuff, Humans don't deserve this earth. At least Earthworms could do good instead of harm

The cockroach... they have been here for so long.  You can never get rid of them... one is always lurking somewhere.
