Imagine that you majored in sociology. How would you explain the usefulness of the sociological perspective?

Giving about a moderate amount of thought I would say:

  One thing it is useful for is that it allows people to analyze cultures objectively and we can use what we determine about the cultures in determing whether aspects of those cultures are morally right or wrong which can let us determine whether laws which governs the people of that culture are just.

  Also, it can be useful in helping people decide what policies should be enacted to remove societal problems by determining what is the cause of these problems.

It is objective and takes into account all aspects and views, therefore allowing you to develop into a levelheaded individual.
