From Gossip Girl, how can i imitate Serena van der Woodsen's style?

Not Blake Lively herself, but the character?

I just love her fashion-forward-city-ish look.

Probably your best bet is to see if you can find some designer clothes really cheap.

The best things to buy if you are gonna splurge are things that you can wear many different ways and something that can be the main piece.

You should get a nice coat and purse. Once you have your main piece of clothing you can add more accessories that can help set the tone of the outfit.

Skinny jeans are a good investment because you can wear them with almost any top.

Add a good purse and coat to your shirt, jeans, and shoes and there you go.

first you're gonna need a whole lot of money!

second, you have to have your own designer ok its not a must but you're gonna have to have to know all the latest looks and most fashionable

third, you're gonna need the body shes got( i dont know maybe you do)

fourth, you need to think before buying a piece "will serena van der woodsen buy this if she was in my shoes"

fifth, you're gonna have to learn to put really light make up like she does but it still shows that shes got!

sixth, you need to buy a lot of magazines and surf the internet for the best buys and latest looks!

seventh, i noticed she really likes boots and heels and minimal flats

eightth, she loves dresses and belts for social occasions such as bdays

You could try shopping at Forever 21. It looks definitely her style.

Or you could shop at H&M

And also, almost every women's store in NYC has clothes like hers. Hope I helped!
