Imitation crab and cream cheese?

Has anyone tried this before? Get the imitation crab in the "leg" style, like the kind used to make cheap sushi with, and dip it in Philadelphia cream cheese. That with milk is freaking delicious.

  1. Ew, ew, ew, and more ew.  Imitation crab is disgusting.  Real crab is where it's at.

  2. yea but you should mix it up and add some mayo or sour cream and cut up shrimp, and some hot sauce, it doesnt even taste fake then! its soo good on ritz!

  3. That sounds really good!  I'll try it.

Here's something for you to try.

    1) Get a pack of  chunked imitation crab, one pack of Philadelphia Cream Cheese and pack of Lumpia paper.

    2) Mix cream cheese and crab meat.  Making sure to shred the crab so that's not so chunky.

    3) Take the lumpia paper,  wet it a little and put the crab and cream cheese mixture  towards one corner.

    4)Roll to the middle.

    5) Barely wet the corners.  Fold them in and roll until you get to the end. Then wet the end a bit and seal the crab roll.

    6) Repeat the #'s 1-5 until you're all our out of crab mixture.

    7) Get a pot and fill it half way with vegetable oil.  Heat on stove  at medium high.  Until oil is hot.

    8)  Cook 3-5 rolls until golden brown.  DON"T LEAVE STOVE!  They cook fast!!!

***Or bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove and eat with a sauce in the Asian Cuisine Isle at your local market.  Sauce is called Mae Ploy Sweet and Chili Sauce

It is absolutely amazing!  You'll love it!  Enjoy!

  4. It is even better mixed with onion cream cheese, a small amount of garlic powder, white pepper and a dash of green Tabasco sauce. Makes the best cracker spread. Try it on a Ritz or Triscuit cracker.
