Question:

Immediate help to someone who has cut wrists?

Hello!

I have a couple of theoretical questions that I need answered, as it is vital to the development of a novel I'm writing. All right, first question:

What does one do if a person has cut their wrists? What is the immediate way to help? I'm sure that it would be to apply pressure to the wounds, but is there more that should be done in the immediate response?

Question 2: If there were no hospitals around for miles and miles, what would be recommended? Would you recommend that the wounds heal by themselves, or would the wounds need to be stitched together, or would that not be required?

Thanks in advance?

  1. it realy depends on what happened, what was the wrist cut on, where, how deep? if it was cut on somthing unclean, tetnes checks should be taken, and antiebacterial should be aplied. it it was a deep, clean cut, like from a very sharp knife, it would need stiches and presurre, and its always best for healing to have the wound above the heart

  2. 1. Tourniquet

    2. Medical help in case it needs to be sutured
