Immediate uploading of pix from digital camera to computer.?

Is there a way to have your digital camera connected to your computer via the usb cable so that immediately after you snap a pix, it is automatically imported and open in adobe photoshop or other programs. Please help.

No.  My camera has a shooting mode and play mode.  You're asking to do both in the same mode.  What you might consider is a web cam so a computer program does the "snapping."

There are some professional digital SLR cameras that will allow you to use the included software to remotely control your camera - which makes it possible to snap a picture and immediately transfer it to your computer, control aperture, shutter speed, ISO settings etc. .

Most digital cameras are not setup this way though- and require you to take the pictures for downloading/transferring to your computer later, either via USB connection, or a memory card reader.
