Question:

Immigrant Visa Interview?

by  |  earlier

My husband is going for his immigrant visa interview in two weeks at the US Embassy in Tunisia. Things so far have been very easy for us and everything (handing in the I-130 and having it approved, handing in the immigrant visa application, having his medical exam) has been accomplished in under a month - I was really surprised!

When we handed in the I-130, they just took the petition, and the documents and approved it right there on the spot - no real interview, just 1-2 minutes of small talk. (I'm assuming they could tell our marriage isn't fake because we've been married 6+ years, I live here in Tunisia with him, we have two children, and I'm pregnant with our third - due in December!)

Anyways, I'm wondering what types of things to look forward to with the immigrant visa interview.

-They said I didn't have to be present, but could come if I like, so will I be allowed to be present for the interview?

-What types of questions will they ask?

-Any advice anyone could offer to us?

  1. You can come with your husband on interview but I am not sure if you're allowed to sit next to him during interview.  just ask the consul

mostly they ask all about you (petitioner)

    when did you get married

how you long you been together

    where did you meet

    joint account etc

  2. you  can   try for it  for  sure  sis but   some  visa  office  then  you  can   finer  nice  trip for amarica  om   futurte   when  make  you  jhave best of  luck for  your  visa

hm m  cool    but  this  trip

  3. you may accompany him, but for the interview, he will be alone,

do not worry about the questions, they are basics, about your life together, details on how well you two know one another# little habits, what you like, or not,  where you met,how many years,#

you do not need any advice, you will be okay,

as long as your relationship is real, nothing to fear.

  4. They'll ask questions like, "Where do you plan to live in the United States" and "How do you and your wife plan to support yourselves?"

Don't worry.  Given the length of your marriage, and the history of having kids, approval is as close to a sure thing as you can get.

  5. The interviewer may ask you why you want to go to America?  Do you want to live in the United States? Since you already have two children, and one to come, I do not think the interviewer will doubt about your marriage is real or not. Just wear neat clothes, and be yourself. You should be o.k. Good Luck.
