    Emigrant-One who leaves one country for another

    Migrant- Refers to an illegal alien that moves from one illegal job to another.

    An EMIGRANT is outgoing. They are leaving their country to go to another.

    MIGRANT is the general term. A migrant can be an immigrant or an emigrant.
