  1. It's part of our summer traditions, especially on the summer holidays like Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.  We find excuses to do it as often as possible.  It's also cooler to cook our food outside than it is inside the house during the summer.

We usually cook all sorts of things, from hamburgers and hotdogs, to sausages, to steak, etc.  Anything that can be cooked on a grill will be by someone.

  2. I am a proud American citizen, you know BBQ is not only a custom it is almost obligatory!  If it can be BBQ'd, I've probably done it.

  3. I BBQ.

  4. They are now known as cook outs not BB Q's. Cook outs are as American as appie pie ,base ball football,Cook outs appeared long before the term BBQ was ever coined..I will cook out today  BBQ ribs allowing them to slowly cook about 8 hours  ever  so slowly cook the meat with the rigt herbs and special home made BBQ sause, so that the meat will fall off the bone, ribs are cooked slowly through out the night, next heat up home made  BBQ beans on the  side burner of the grill, put ears of corn in foil, slowly cooking this all in all about 10 fulll hours a complete 4th July meal will have been prepared.

  5. I'm from L.A. and now live in Reno NV. I BBQ all year long on special occasions and when I just feel like it.I BBQ especially on Christmas and Thanksgiving. For christmas I do a prime rib and lobster tails over charcoal and mesquite and for Thanksgiving I smoke a couple of Turkeys-same way.
